An Indian restaurant in Alsager has issued a public appeal to parents after repeated incidents of antisocial behaviour involving young people began affecting the business, damaging property and raising safety concerns.
Latif’s Indian Restaurant, located on Crewe Road in Alsager, says groups of youngsters gathering near nearby Milton Park have repeatedly climbed onto the restaurant’s flat roof, skated across it and caused disruption around the premises.
Management say CCTV cameras at the venue have also been deliberately damaged, leaving the restaurant concerned about security for both staff and customers.
Restaurant issues public appeal
The restaurant has now appealed directly to parents and the local community, asking families to take responsibility for children involved in disruptive behaviour around the site.
Owners say staff have increasingly had to deal with incidents that go beyond what hospitality workers should reasonably be expected to manage.
The damage to CCTV equipment has caused particular concern, as it reduces security coverage around the restaurant during evening trading hours.

The message from the restaurant is straightforward: parents are being urged to know where their children are and to speak to them about behaviour around local businesses and public spaces.
Latif’s says the situation has become serious enough that it felt it had no option but to raise the issue publicly.
