Plus-size fashion brand Evans has returned to physical retail after disappearing from the high street following the collapse of Arcadia in 2020.

Evans has returned to the UK high street after several years away from physical retail.

The plus-size fashion brand is now being sold through selected Yours Clothing stores, bringing it back into shops after its former store estate disappeared following the collapse of Arcadia Group in 2020.

Evans was once one of the best-known names in plus-size womenswear, with a long history on UK high streets. The brand specialises in clothing for women in UK sizes 14 to 32, including dresses, tops, trousers, jeans, knitwear, lingerie and footwear.

Its return comes through Yours Clothing, which is part of AK Retail Holdings. The group also owns brands including BadRhino, Long Tall Sally and M&Co.

Evans was sold out of Arcadia’s administration in 2020, but that deal did not include its physical shops. As a result, the remaining stores did not reopen and the brand moved online.

AK Retail Holdings later acquired Evans in 2023, adding it to its wider fashion portfolio.

The latest move brings Evans back into physical retail through dedicated space inside Yours Clothing stores. It means shoppers can once again browse selected Evans ranges in person rather than relying only on online orders.

For high streets, the return is a reminder that some well-known retail names are finding a route back into stores through concessions and shared retail spaces rather than reopening full standalone branches.

That model allows brands to test demand, reduce overheads and reach existing customers through stores that are already trading.

For shoppers, it also gives more choice to those who prefer to check fit, fabric and sizing before buying.

Evans says it focuses on modern, flattering plus-size clothing designed around fit, comfort and confidence.

The brand’s return comes at a time when many retailers are still under pressure from rising costs, changing shopping habits and weaker footfall in some town centres.

While the move does not mean a full return to the old Evans store network, it does put the name back on the high street after a long absence.

The official Evans store finder now shows Yours Clothing locations that carry a selection of Evans clothing, including a store in Birchwood, Warrington.
