Staff from Chester-based Forge Holiday Group have raised more than £13,000 for charity after taking on a high-speed zip line challenge.
A Chester-based holiday company has raised more than £13,000 for charity after staff took on a 100mph zip line challenge.
Colleagues from Forge Holiday Group braved the high-speed fundraiser as part of a team effort to support a good cause.
The company, based at One City Place in Chester, brings together several well-known holiday brands, including Sykes Cottages, Forest Holidays, UKCaravans4Hire and Bachcare.
The challenge saw participants take on one of the UK’s fastest zip line experiences, reaching speeds of up to 100mph.
For those taking part, the event was a test of nerve as well as a fundraising effort, with the team stepping far outside a normal working day to help raise money.
The final total passed £13,000, making it a significant charity boost from the Chester firm.
Forge Holiday Group works across the UK holiday market, connecting customers with stays ranging from cottages and cabins to caravan breaks and international holiday accommodation.
The fundraiser adds to the company’s wider community and charity work, with staff using a physical challenge to bring colleagues together while supporting people beyond the business.
