Plans to incorporate deli and off-licence at popular farm shop
Camber Country Store near Chester has applied for a new premises licence as part of plans to expand its deli offering, increase café seating and introduce off-sales of alcohol.

A popular farm shop near Chester is looking to expand its food offering after submitting plans to introduce an off-licence and incorporate a larger deli into its existing premises.
Camber Country Store, based at Manor Farm, Wervin, near Chester, has lodged a premises licence application as part of wider plans to develop its retail space and enhance the customer experience.
The proposal would see part of the neighbouring Manor Farm Café & Deli, which is operated by the same business, incorporated into the farm shop. The move would allow the store to stock a broader range of deli and lifestyle products while creating additional seating within the café.
As part of the application, the business is seeking permission to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises only, enabling customers to purchase items such as wines, beers and other alcoholic drinks to take home. The neighbouring café already holds a premises licence permitting alcohol sales for both on-site and off-site consumption.
According to the application, the changes form part of the site’s ongoing development and are intended to create a more integrated shopping and dining experience while aligning the operation with the company’s other businesses.
Camber Country Store currently sells a wide range of products including farming and agricultural supplies, pet and animal feed, country clothing, footwear, home and garden products, gifts and lifestyle goods.
The business also operates two further stores in Shropshire and says the proposed changes will allow it to offer an enhanced selection of deli products while operating under the same management procedures and licensing standards already in place elsewhere.
The premises licence application is currently being considered by the licensing authority. If approved, the expansion would further develop the Manor Farm site as a destination for shopping, food and locally sourced produce for customers across Chester and the surrounding area.
