Hot weather is forecast to return to many areas of the UK next week, with temperatures potentially peaking at 35C in parts of England and Wales. According to BBC Weather, while some rain is expected this weekend, it will not be sufficient to end the prolonged dry spell.
The forecast indicates that rainfall will provide some relief to northern and north-western regions over the weekend before temperatures rise again. The hottest conditions are anticipated to initially affect central and eastern England by Tuesday, before spreading north and west.
Daytime highs across most of England and Wales are expected to range between 25C and 32C throughout much of next week. In contrast, Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to experience cooler temperatures, generally in the mid to high teens and low to mid-20s. Some weather models suggest that the heat could intensify further by next weekend, with east Wales and much of England possibly reaching temperatures between 30C and 35C.
