Tatton Perk coffee shop in Chelford has been recognised as the Best Cafe in Cheshire, following a public vote in the Muddy Stilettos 2026 awards. Owner Mark Lee-Kilgariff expressed gratitude to the Chelford community for their support, stating, "A huge thank you to the Chelford community and beyond for your incredible support. It is immensely gratifying to know how much you love what we’ve created."

Mark's journey began in 2018 when he launched his business from a vintage Peugeot van in Knutsford. He has since transformed Westminster House, a former bank on Knutsford Road, into a welcoming coffee shop. Inspired by a neighbourhood café near Lake Garda in Italy, Mark aimed to create a community hub where patrons could enjoy coffee, food, and social interaction.

To accommodate growing demand, a glass extension was added to the coffee shop, effectively doubling its size. The venue now features comfortable seating and hosts various events, including quiz nights and live jazz. Mark emphasised the importance of inclusivity, stating, "I have always wanted to create a place where everyone can come and enjoy the experience."

Tatton Perk offers a range of high-quality food and drink, including sandwiches from Rack Sandwiches and cakes from local bakers. Mark also highlighted the café's commitment to accessibility, ensuring that it is fully wheelchair and buggy accessible.

Mark credited his success to his dedicated team, particularly praising Evie Hicks, Julia Black, and Mia Lucas for their outstanding service during the café's expansion. He also acknowledged the support of his wife, Susie, and his parents, who have played vital roles in the business's journey.
