New Northwich Market to Open at Barons Quay in September
The long-awaited move will see traders leave Weaver Square as Northwich Market begins a new chapter at Barons Quay.

Northwich's new market is expected to open at Barons Quay in mid-September, with the exact opening date due to be announced in the coming weeks.
Before the move, traders at the existing Weaver Square market will finish trading on Saturday, 29 August, bringing an end to the market's long-standing presence at the site.
The Market Hall Café will continue operating from its current premises, allowing customers to visit as normal. Askins and Colins Hair, which is located on the outside of the former Market Hall, will also remain open and will not be affected by the relocation.
The Style Hut has confirmed it will move into the new market. Other traders have either accepted units at the Barons Quay development, relocated to Winsford Market or chosen to move to alternative premises.
Cheshire West and Chester Council said it consulted all market traders throughout the project and offered free business support to those interested in taking space at the new venue.
Councillor Nathan Pardoe, the council's Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Regeneration and Digital Transformation, said markets remain an important part of town centres despite changing shopping habits. He said the new facility is intended to provide a modern space that better meets the needs of both traders and visitors.
The new market will include indoor and outdoor seating, free WiFi, public toilets and space for a wider range of food, drink and retail businesses.
Further details, including the official opening date, are expected to be confirmed ahead of the market welcoming its first visitors in September.
