Final-year students from the University of Chester have launched a new digital fashion magazine during a graduate showcase celebrating the work of this year's BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Marketing cohort.

The publication, titled *The Scene*, was unveiled at the Opera Bar & Grill in Chester, where 18 graduating students presented their final projects to an audience of more than 120 guests, including industry professionals, alumni, friends and family.

Visitors were able to view a wide range of work covering fashion communication, branding, public relations, editorial publishing, styling, creative direction, photography and digital marketing. The showcase also featured fashion films and personal branding projects developed as part of the students' final assessments.

Created entirely by the graduating class, *The Scene* brings together original editorial content, fashion campaigns and creative storytelling produced by the students as they prepare to begin careers in the fashion and creative industries.

Project manager Ava Hodson said the aim was to create a launch event that celebrated innovation, creativity and the individual identity of each graduate entering the profession.

The showcase was organised entirely by the students, who managed the planning, public relations and creative direction of the event alongside producing the magazine itself.

Tracey Hall, senior lecturer and programme leader for Fashion Communication and Marketing, praised the students for delivering a professional event and said the course's emphasis on industry experience and practical learning helps prepare graduates for careers across the creative sector.
