By Chester Standard
Marston's pubs in Chester and Ellesmere Port are set to introduce a special pie in collaboration with Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone brand. The Hawkstone IPA & Beef Pie will be available from August for a limited time only.
The pie includes British diced beef and pulled beef cheek, slow-cooked in a rich gravy made with Hawkstone IPA, along with seasonal vegetables and Barber’s Cheddar, all encased in buttery shortcrust pastry. It will be served with seasonal vegetables, extra gravy, and either chips or mash, depending on the pub.
Hawkstone, founded by Clarkson, has been brewing award-winning beer using British-grown ingredients since 2021. The Hawkstone IPA was named England’s Best IPA at the World Beer Awards 2025, noted for its balance of tropical and citrus notes with malt richness and hop bitterness.
Nearly 500 Marston's pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales will serve the Hawkstone IPA & Beef Pie, with bottles of Hawkstone IPA available for pairing.
Participating pubs near Chester include the Little Owl in Gawer Park, the Old Wirral Hundred in Great Sutton, and Old Hall Farm in Ellesmere Port, as well as locations in Ewloe, Rossett, Mold, Wrexham, and Runcorn.
Customers are advised to check with their local Marston's pub for availability, as the pie is a limited-time offering.
