Care homes in Knutsford and Wilmslow to host food festivals in August
Care homes in Knutsford and Wilmslow host summer food festivals with music, dishes inspired by residents, and community activities.

Care UK is set to host food festivals at two care homes in Cheshire this August.
The events will take place at Cranford Grange in Knutsford and Long Stone Manor in Wilmslow, and are open to families and neighbours. They are part of Care UK’s A Taste of Home initiative, which aims to celebrate food, culture and community inside care homes.
At Cranford Grange, the festival will be held on Friday, August 7, from 4.30pm to 6pm. Guests will be offered dishes inspired by international travel and residents’ memories, including Spanish-style chicken and chorizo paella, caprese salad and lemon panna cotta.
The home said its head chef will prepare the food using seasonal ingredients, while entertainer Jayne MacFarlane will perform a live set of well-known classics. In the build-up to the event, residents, Knutsford Beavers and Squirrels have made bunting from old clothes and bedding.
Long Stone Manor will hold its own event on Thursday, August 6, from 2pm to 3.30pm. Residents there will help host an afternoon tea featuring nostalgic desserts from their childhood, and the Deaf and Sensory Roadshow will also attend to talk about its work.
