South Cheshire 20 Road Race Returns to Shavington This September
Runners from across the region are expected to take part as one of South Cheshire's best-established distance races returns for another year.

South Cheshire Harriers will once again host its flagship 20-mile road race this September, with runners set to take on one of the region's longest-established endurance events.
The South Cheshire 20 will take place on Sunday, 6 September, starting and finishing at Shavington Leisure Centre near Crewe.
Now approaching two decades on the local athletics calendar, the race has become a popular fixture for experienced runners preparing for autumn marathons, offering a competitive long-distance event just weeks before many of the UK's major marathon races.
The 20-mile distance is widely regarded as an important milestone in marathon training, giving runners the opportunity to assess their fitness and race preparation over a challenging course before tackling the full 26.2-mile distance.
South Cheshire Harriers has organised the event for many years, attracting participants from Cheshire and neighbouring counties. The race also provides an opportunity for local athletes to compete alongside club runners from across the North West.
Volunteers and marshals will be positioned around the course to support competitors and help ensure the event runs safely, while organisers are expected to provide further details on road management arrangements closer to race day.
The South Cheshire 20 has earned a reputation as one of the county's leading road races, combining a competitive atmosphere with strong community support and attracting runners of varying abilities each year.
The race will start from Shavington Leisure Centre on Sunday, 6 September.
