Michelle Keegan spotted filming new Netflix thriller in Knutsford
Michelle Keegan has been filming in Knutsford town centre alongside Tom Bateman and James Buckley for a new Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben thriller The Woods.

Michelle Keegan has been spotted filming in Knutsford as the Cheshire town becomes a location for a new Netflix thriller based on a Harlan Coben novel.
The former Coronation Street and Fool Me Once actress was on location in the town centre for The Woods, an eight-part suspense series currently being filmed across the North West.
Keegan was joined by Tom Bateman and The Inbetweeners star James Buckley, with the actors seen on Minshull Street during filming.
The trio were also pictured taking a break between scenes, enjoying coffee and chatting together as production continued in the town.
The Woods is a new UK adaptation of Harlan Coben’s 2007 novel of the same name and is being written for television by Danny Brocklehurst.
Brocklehurst has previously worked on several of Coben’s Netflix adaptations, including Fool Me Once and Run Away.
The story centres on Paul “Cope” Copeland, played by Bateman, whose family was torn apart when his sister Camille disappeared from a summer camp 20 years earlier.
Now a successful barrister and single father to his young daughter Cami, Cope has attempted to rebuild his life after the disappearance.
But the past returns when the body of a man who was believed to have been murdered alongside Camille is discovered.
The development leads Cope to question what happened two decades earlier and whether his sister could still be alive.
Keegan plays Lucy Silverfield, Cope’s first love, who becomes involved as he searches for answers about his sister’s disappearance.
Buckley plays Lonnie Berger, while the wider cast includes Mandeep Dhillon, Pearce Quigley, Rade Sherbedgia, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Tom Allen.
The production marks another collaboration between Keegan and Coben following the success of Fool Me Once, in which she played former military pilot Maya Stern.
Speaking about her latest character, Keegan said Lucy was very different from Maya and described her as someone who had tried to escape her past by moving away and building a successful career, only to find that it continued to affect her.
The Woods is being produced by Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios, which has worked on previous English-language adaptations of Coben’s novels for Netflix.
Coben is also an executive producer through his company Final Twist Productions.
The author has described the novel as one of his most personal stories, with the relationship between Paul and Lucy and the consequences of events at the summer camp forming important parts of the mystery.
Filming in Knutsford forms part of a wider North West production for the series, continuing the region’s prominent role as a location for Netflix adaptations of Coben’s work.
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for The Woods.
