Students at The King's School Chester celebrate 'outstanding' results
Students at The King’s School in Chester collected their results this morning, with 28 per cent of all grades awarded at grade 9, the highest possible mark.

Students at The King’s School in Chester collected their GCSE results this morning, with 28 per cent of all grades awarded at grade 9, the highest possible mark.
The school said more than half of all grades, 53 per cent, were at grade 8 or 9. It also said 72 per cent of results were graded between 9 and 7.
Seven departments had more than 60 per cent of grades at 9 or 8, with religious studies particularly strong at 90 per cent at those top levels. Eleven departments had 70 per cent or more of their grades between 9 and 7.
A number of pupils achieved standout individual results. Christopher Neal, Joel Thompson and Sebastian Wilson each gained 11 grade 9s.
Ahmed Abu Elhassan earned 10 grade 9s and one grade 7, while Imogen Hothersall secured 10 grade 9s. Prisha Roy Mahapatra achieved 10 grade 9s and one grade 8, and Isobel Singleton was awarded 10 grade 9s and one grade 7.
Other high achievers included Harry Billings with nine grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7, Leo Chick with nine grade 9s and two grade 8s, and Rose Hard Af Segerstad-Smith with nine grade 9s.
