More than 350 exhibits showcased at Wistaston Flower and Produce Show
Gardeners, bakers, artists, crafters and photographers showcased their work as Wistaston’s annual Flower and Produce Show returned for its 43rd year.

More than 350 exhibits went on display as Wistaston’s annual Flower and Produce Show celebrated its 43rd year.
The village event was held at St Mary’s Church Hall on Church Lane and brought together entries from local gardeners, bakers, artists, crafters and photographers.
Organised by Wistaston Community News & Events, the show continued a tradition that has become part of the village’s annual calendar.
The Mayor of Cheshire East, Cllr Judy Snowball, attended the event and presented awards to this year’s winners.
She also took part in the traditional auction of exhibits at the end of the show.
Marlene Harper was among the most successful entrants, winning the Stanley Chilton Memorial Cup, Wistaston Community Council Cup and Elsie Turner Shield.
Ann Stubbs received the Wells Green Councillor’s Cup.
Liz Rimmer collected two awards, winning both the Herbert Locke M.B.E. Cup and Wistaston and District Flower Club Trophy.
The show also included photography competitions, with awards going to entrants including Sarah Rhodes, Mary Tittensor, Layla Seroye, Jasmine Seroye, Ruby Keegan and India Sloan across the different categories.
Entries across the wider show reflected a range of skills and interests within the village, from home-grown flowers and produce to baking, crafts and creative work.
The event is one of several annual activities organised by volunteers from Wistaston Community News & Events.
The group’s programme also includes the Wistaston Village Fete, Duck Race and Model Boat Day, Fireworks Display and Christmas Concert.
The next major event in the village calendar is the Duck Race and Model Boat Day, which takes place at the Joey the Swan parkland area on September 5.
