Growing Health Community Garden in Nantwich has launched a new “Lunchtime Reset” event aimed at encouraging residents to spend their lunch break outdoors.

The event took place at the garden at Brookfield Park, and the source report says it was attended by home-based workers as well as mums and children during the school holidays.

Volunteer and CIC board member Sarah Johansen said the idea is to help people break up the day, get away from screens and enjoy some time in nature and company over lunchtime.

She said there is no cost and no need to register. Visitors can simply turn up during the lunch break, bring their own lunch and spend time sitting or wandering around the garden.

The garden was described as being in full bloom, with the report noting that the recent rain was welcome after a long summer heatwave and helped the volunteers who had been taking turns to water the flowers, fruit and vegetables.

The next Lunchtime Reset event is due to take place on September 16 from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
