Latest food hygiene ratings for takeaways across Cheshire
Takeaways and sandwich shops across Knutsford, Wilmslow, Northwich and Winsford have received new food hygiene ratings following inspections carried out during 2026.

Takeaways and sandwich shops across several Cheshire towns have received food hygiene ratings following inspections carried out during 2026.
The Food Standards Agency publishes ratings following inspections by local authority food safety officers, with businesses assessed on food handling, the condition and cleanliness of their premises and how food safety is managed.
Businesses receive an overall rating from zero to five.
A rating of five means hygiene standards were found to be very good, while four represents good and three means generally satisfactory.
A rating of two indicates some improvement is necessary, one means major improvement is necessary and zero is reserved for businesses where urgent improvement is required.
Among businesses inspected in Knutsford and Holmes Chapel, Indian Gourmet, El Fourno Pizza and Jalfrezi were listed with five-star ratings.
Sun Kong received a rating of three following its inspection.
Several Wilmslow takeaways also achieved the highest rating.
Kansas Fried Chicken, La Vera, NITE NITE Takeaway, Frango's and Spinachi Pizza & Grill were all listed with ratings of five, while Red Lantern received four.
A larger number of inspections were recorded across the Northwich area.
After Five, Domino's Pizza, Fortune House, Greggs, Pizza Hut, Subway, The Central Chippy, The Codfather and Turners were among those receiving the maximum rating of five.
Eastern Balti House, Munch Box and Top Chef were rated four.
Sandiway Kebab & Pizza House and Sultan Pizza & Grill received ratings of three.
Two businesses in the Northwich area were listed with ratings of one following inspections in June – Jolly Roger Fish Bar and The Sandwich Shop.
Under the Food Standards Agency system, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary.
Businesses can subsequently make improvements and request another inspection, so ratings can change after the inspection dates reported.
In Winsford, Domino's Pizza, Dynasty, Grange Takeaway and The Great Wall received five-star ratings.
Ann Marie's Kitchen and Sun Kin Fish & Chips Chinese Takeaway were rated four, while Phoenix, Quick Bites and The Balti received ratings of three.
No takeaways in Middlewich were listed as having received a new food hygiene rating during the period covered by the figures.
Food hygiene ratings are intended to give customers an indication of hygiene standards found by inspectors at the time of their visit.
They assess how hygienically food is handled, the cleanliness and condition of the premises and the systems businesses have in place to manage food safety.
The ratings should not be interpreted as a review of the quality, taste or value of the food being served.
