New WELL Runcorn hub bringing health, wellbeing and education services under one roof
WELL Runcorn Hub launches, bringing NHS health, wellbeing, education and community services together under one roof on Granville Street.

WELL Runcorn Hub has officially launched in the former library building on Granville Street, with the opening taking place on Thursday, September 10.
The hub brings health, wellbeing, education and community support services together under one roof in Runcorn. It is being developed through a partnership involving North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, Halton Borough Council and Riverside College.
Esme Polshaw, general manager of the WELL Runcorn Hub, said the aim was to give people access to services in an accessible and welcoming space. She said residents would be able to attend appointments and drop-ins in the same building.
Services at the hub include community midwifery, infant feeding support, NHS health checks, mental health support, stop smoking help, pain management, pulmonary rehabilitation, paediatric occupational health and therapy, along with adult maths and English courses.
The building has also been fitted with wide accessible doorways, fully accessible facilities, varied seating and flexible community spaces designed for residents to connect, learn and access support in one place.
