Council urged to reject plans for huge housing estate with 448 homes
The town council has raised a number of concerns

Winsford Town Council has asked Cheshire West and Chester Council to reject plans for 448 homes at Swanlow House Farm, to the east of Swanlow Lane.
The application has been submitted by Müller Property Group for a major residential development that would include a mix of house types, a new spine road, access works, open space and landscaping.
According to the source report, the town council raised concerns that a scheme of this scale would be too much for Winsford to absorb. It also said the number of standard family homes would exceed local school capacity and that GP and dental services were already under pressure.
Cllr Stuart Bingham said he had chaired a meeting of the town council’s planning committee which considered the application. He posted that the council asked for the scheme to be rejected, but said that if it was approved then appropriate levels of developer funding should be secured for defined projects.
In its submission to Cheshire West and Chester Council, the town council said the proposal would have a considerable cumulative impact on the Swanlow area. It also called for significant funding for community, sport, youth and green space provision if permission is granted.
