Knutsford Salon Owner Recognised as Finalist for North Western Hairdresser of the Year
Jamie Benny, owner of Benny & Co. Hair Studios in Knutsford, has been named a finalist for the North Western Hairdresser of the Year at the 2026 British Hairdressing Awards.

Jamie Benny, the owner of Benny & Co. Hair Studios in Knutsford, has been selected as one of five finalists for the North Western Hairdresser of the Year at the 2026 British Hairdressing Awards. This recognition places him among the top hairdressing talent in the region.
The British Hairdressing Awards are considered one of the most prestigious events in the UK hairdressing calendar, celebrating outstanding creativity and skill within the industry. Jamie expressed his pride in being named a finalist, stating, “I’m incredibly proud to be in the final five. The British Hairdressing Awards are such an important part of our industry, so to have my work recognised alongside some of the best hairdressers in the North West is a huge honour.”
Having relocated from London to Cheshire, Jamie has successfully built his reputation while establishing his independent salon on Regent Street. His salon focuses on personalised hairdressing, education, and nurturing the next generation of talent.
This nomination marks another significant achievement in Jamie's career, which includes multiple successes at the British Hairdressing Awards and collaborations with major professional hair brands. He also serves as an international ambassador for Alfaparf Milano Professional, further expanding his creative and educational efforts both in the UK and abroad.
Regardless of the outcome, Jamie views this recognition as a testament to the importance of creativity and high standards in the industry. He added, “It’s a great feeling to know that the work we’re creating here can stand alongside the best in the region. We’re now looking forward to the night and seeing what happens. I’d love to bring the title back to Knutsford.”
The winner of the North Western Hairdresser of the Year will be announced during the British Hairdressing Awards ceremony, scheduled for Monday, 23 November 2026, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
