A man has admitted drugging and raping his wife on 60 occasions, while 12 other men are accused of sexually assaulting her at the couple’s home in Greater Manchester.
The husband, who is in his sixties, cannot be named to protect the woman’s identity. He has admitted the charges relating to drugging and raping her.
The 12 other men deny the allegations and are due to face trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Among them is Keith Fotheringham, 59, from Dundee, who has admitted all the charges against him, according to the BBC.
The source report says the men are accused of sexually assaulting the same woman. It does not identify the family home beyond placing it in Greater Manchester.
The victim’s identity is protected by law. No business or public venue is identified in the report, and there is no mention of a council, residents, customers or police response beyond the criminal proceedings.
The trial of the remaining defendants is continuing at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
