Shoppers arrived at Sainsbury's superstore in Brunds Farm Road yesterday (Thursday) afternoon to find the doors closed.
The store, which opened in February last year, was closed for about half an hour due to an overhead fault.
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: "The store was closed for a short time earlier yesterday (Thursday) due to a fault on the overhead line network, which affected power supplies for around 30 minutes.
"Our engineers responded immediately to carry out the necessary repair and restore supplies as quickly as possible. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."
