Nantwich Town Council has confirmed that the town’s annual Christmas lights switch-on will take place on Friday 20 November 2026.

The event is a regular fixture in the local calendar, bringing residents and visitors into the town centre for an evening of festive celebrations and live entertainment.

Thousands of people have attended previous switch-on events, which traditionally mark the beginning of Nantwich’s Christmas festivities.

Last year’s celebrations took place on 21 November, with live music, a festive market along Churchyardside and extended opening hours at Nantwich Market.

The 2025 event also featured a performance by singer Lauren G, before the town’s Christmas tree and festive lights were illuminated.

The council has now confirmed the date for this year’s event, although the full entertainment programme, guest appearances and switch-on time have not yet been established in the information available.

Further details will be needed before visitors can plan around specific performances or activities.

The Christmas lights switch-on is scheduled for Friday 20 November, with the town centre again expected to be the focus of the celebrations.
