A South Cheshire charity supporting women and girls has reported a year of record activity at its annual general meeting.
Her-Place Charitable Trust supported 837 women and 567 young people during 2025-26, according to its newly published impact report.
The charity also delivered 737 counselling services and distributed 2,299 essential and recycled items through its community share hub. These included school uniforms, baby essentials, football boots, prom dresses, winter coats, bras, sanitary products and hygiene items.
Her-Place founder and chief executive said the figures represented individual people and personal stories, adding that the charity was founded on the belief that every woman and girl should feel supported, valued and empowered.
The organisation’s wellbeing groups attracted 540 women over the year. Its work is expanding through a new base in Crewe, which is hosting quiz nights, creative activities and community meet-ups.
Her-Place has also contributed to plans for Crewe’s new town-centre park. Research carried out by the charity helped inform features intended to make the space more welcoming and inclusive.
The AGM was attended by long-standing patron Sir John Timpson, High Sheriff of Cheshire Lynn Pegler, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Susan Sellers DL and Cheshire East Mayor Judy Snowball.
Sir John said the charity’s work supporting local families was close to his heart.
The charity is supported by 65 volunteers, who contributed 1,960 hours during the year. Its impact report records a rateable value of £46,000.
Her-Place said it continues to apply for small funding grants, although competition for support is intense.
