Hundreds of University of Chester students are gathering to celebrate their graduation this week.
Twelve ceremonies are taking place at Chester Cathedral from 3 to 6 November, with graduates from across the university receiving their awards in front of family, friends, tutors and honorary guests.
Students from University Centre Warrington and University Centre Reaseheath are also taking part in the ceremonies.
Graduates from the faculties of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Health, Medicine and Society; Science; and Business and Enterprise are being recognised for their academic achievements.
Professor Eunice Simmons, vice-chancellor of the University of Chester, described graduation as “a special and especially joyful time of the year”.
She said it was an honour to help graduates mark the occasion and recognise the skills and knowledge they had gained during their studies.
The ceremonies also include the presentation of honorary degrees to three people.
Tim Angel CBE is receiving a Doctor of Letters for his contribution to theatre, film, television and the arts. Entrepreneur Rob Law MBE is being awarded a Doctor of Business Administration for his contribution to business and enterprise.
Callum Edge is receiving a Master of Business Administration in recognition of his contribution to food, farming and local business.
The ceremonies run until 6 November at Chester Cathedral.
